Workers at Messrs William Beardmore & Co., Parkhead Forge, casting a rudder trunk on April 15 (1937) for the Queen Elizabeth, now building at Clydebank.
Seventy tons of molten steel are being poured in the mould. The stern frame will have a total weight of 180 tons.
