ARRANGE ASTOR SETTLEMENT

Will Set Aside Separate Fortune for Miss Force in Place of Dower

NEWPORT, R. I., Aug. 15---Former Supreme Court Justice Henry A. Gildersleeve, representing Miss Madeleine TaImage Force and her family, is consulting with Lewis Cass Ledyard of the firm of Carter, Ledyard & Milburn, counsel for Col. John Jacob Astor, regarding the ante-nuptial financial settlement which Col. Astor will make upon Miss Force.

This is in accord with the custom of the men of the Astor family, who have set aside specific fortunes for their wives in lieu of dower rights.
