ASTOR INFANT CHRISTENED

The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John Jacob Astor was christened yesterday afternoon at a ceremony in the presence of a few relatives and friends in the Astor residence, 7 East Ninety-first Street. The Rev. Hugh Clark of Pittsburgh officiated at the ceremony. The child was named William for his paternal great-grandfather, whose wife for many years was recognized as the leader of New York society. The godparents were Miss Virginia French, aunt of the child; Vincent Astor, half-brother of John Jacob Astor, and George S. Stillman.
Mrs. Astor is the former Miss Ellen Tuck French, daughter of Mrs. James Lenox Banks Jr., and of Francis O. French. She was married to Mr. Astor, son of Mrs. Enzo Fiermonte and of the late John Jacob Astor, on June 30, 1934, in Newport.
