Mr Alexander A. Robins
Mr Alexander A. Robins, 50, was born 1 July 1861 in St Austell, Cornwall. The son of Mr Samuel Robins (Labourer) and Mrs Grace Robins, he was brother to Charles, William, Elle n Jane and Samuel. By 1881 he was living in Union Road in the Mount Charles area of St Austell with his parents, wife, child, brothers and sister. He had married Grace Charity Laury in the latter part of 1880. His occupation was that of stonemason.
He and his wife subsequently emigrated to Yonkers, NY along with their son, Alexander Robins and their daughter, Alice Ann who subsequently became Mrs Curtin. Alexander and Charity returned to Cornwall for a family visit in early 1912 and were returning to the USA third class on the Titanic under ticket number 3337 which had cost them £14 10s. Also returning with them was their nephew, William Henry Nancarrow who had also been a near neighbour in Union Road.
Mr Alexander Robins was lost in the sinking. His body was subsequently recovered by the MacKay Bennett along with that of his wife.

The remains were taken to his daughter who was living at 24 Garfield Street, Yonkers, NY. He was subsequently interred in the Oakland Cemetery, Yonkers with his wife.
