Mrs Grace Charity Robins (née Laury)
Mrs Alexander A. Robins (Grace Charity Laury), 47, known as Charity, was born 18 January 1865 in St Austell, Cornwall. The daughter of James Laury (Tin Miner) and Susan Laury. She was the sister of Elizabeth, Walter and Marion, the family lived in Union Road close to the Robins and Nancarrow families.
She married Alexander A Robins in the latter part of 1880. They subsequently emigrated to Yonkers, NY along with their son, Alexander Robins and their daughter, Alice Ann who subsequentl y became Mrs Curtin. Alexander and Charity returned to Cornwall for a famil y visit in early 1912 and subsequently returned to the USA on 'Titanic, 3rd class under ticket number 3337, costing them £14 10s with Charity's nephew, William Henry Nancarrow.
Mrs Robins died in the sinking, her body, and that of her husband was subsequently recovered by the MacKay Bennett.

Robins" 2nd class ticket Olympic, 145; gold watch and chain; 2 receipted accounts and excess luggage ticket Plymouth, Great Western docks; £60 in 5 notes and other coins. THIRD CLASS PASSENGER. NAME - Mrs A. ROBINS. |
The remains were taken to her daughter who was living at 24 Garfield Street, Yonkers, NY. She was subsequently interred in the Oakland Cemetery, Yonkers with her husband.
