Miss Sara Rebecca Compton

 

Miss Sara Rebecca Compton, 39, was born on 30 April 1872.

Sara, her mother Mary and brother Alexander boarded the Titanic at Cherbourg as first class passengers. Sara occupied cabin E-49.

Mary and Sara were rescued in lifeboat 14.

Sara Compton never married, and spent much of her retirement near the New Jersey coastline. She died on 16 June 1952.
