Mrs Cordelia K. Lobb (née Stanlick)

Mrs William Arthur Lobb (Cordelia K. Stanlick), 26, was born in 1886, possibly in Scandinavia. Her family subsequently moved to America and lived in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She married there on 21 April 1909 to William Arthur Lobb who was originally of St Teath, Cornwall. They lived at 1711 Swetland Street.

She travelled with her husband to visit his family in Cornwall in early 1912. They returned on Titanic in third class. Cordelia and her husband were lost in the disaster, friends on the ship who survived said it was Cordelia's choice that she remain on board with her husband.

Cordelia's body along with her watch and some jewellery were subsequently recovered but she was buried at sea as she was not readily identifiable at that time. Only latterly was she identified by the initials 'AL to CS' on her wedding ring.
