Bodmin Priests Bereaved

West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser

At Mass at St. Piran’s Roman Catholic Church, Truro on Sunday morning, prayers were offered for those who went down in the Titanic, and special mention was made of Mr. Hugh McElroy, the chief purser, brother of the present Prior of Bodmin (Fr. Richard McElroy), and Mr. Reginald Smith, one of the Titanic’s engineers, brother of Father Smith, Father Visitor at Bodmin, both of whom were drowned.
