Cap Arcona Ballroom

The Cap Arcona's ballroom was finished in light varnish, with details picked out in gold. It was identical in size to the lounge/vestibule it adjoined, 75.5' x 52.6' x 13.9' and, in common with the other public rooms, appeared to be almost under-furnished when empty. This would have  been an asset when the room was full; it would have seemed spacious rather than spartan.
