CONGRESS THANKS ROSTRON

WASHINGTON, July 1---The thanks of Congress are conveyed to Capt. Arthur H. Rostron and the officers and crew of the liner Carpathia, for their rescue of 704 survivors of the Titanic, in a Senate bill passed by the House to-day.
The measure now goes to President Taft for signature. The bill provides for a $1,000 gold medal for Capt. Rostron.
