Detained at Washington

Berkshire Chronicle

Detained at Washington. Among those who were expected to have arrived home on the Lapland was Mr, Frederick Dent Ray, of 'Akbar' 56 palmer Park Avenue, Reading. Mr Ray, who was a steward on the Titanic, cabled home to his relatives informing them that he was coming home on the Lapland, but subsequently he was informed that he would be required to give evidence at the United States Senate inquiry, and he is, therefore detained at Washington. His wife is at present in North Wales for the benefit of her health, and she hopes to meet her husband at Liverpool if the boat on which he will return arrives at that port.
