CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR THE LUSITANIA COLLECTOR WHO HAS EVERYTHING: To celebrate the appearance, today, on Gare Maritime of our piece on Henry B. Sonneborn and Lee Schwabacher, and their rather progressive (for 1915) relationship with one another and the Sonneborn family, I am proud to drop the following Christmas hint: www.coldwellbanker.com/servlet/PropertyListing?action=detail&ComColdwellbankerDataProperty_id=10198904&page=property which is the Baltimore residence owned by Wilhelmina Sonneborn where Henry and Lee lived when they began traveling with one another. By 1915 the two men were resettled in Paris (and Mrs. Sonneborn was living in a nice, but smaller, Queen Anne style row house) but this was their final fixed address in the U.S. Defintely the ultimate gift for a Lusitania fan with a taste for large, well restored houses. Better to go into the night fighting than to request to be called "Pollyanna."
