Is there any existing photograph of Lusitania victim David Samuels. As an entertainer, there must be some poster, playbill or program with his picture. I would be very interested in acquiring one. Hello, Morton: Mr Samoilescu opted not to include a photo on his 1914 passport application. I'm having a search done through the Yiddish and Hebrew NYC papers to see if he ws featured in the Lusitania coverage. It is hard to get a handle on him, from the description in 1915 press coverage: "Specialist in Hebrew Comic Monologues." If "Hebrew" literally meant "Hebrew," then chances are good that he did the Jewish theatre and musical hall circuits and will be found in the Jewish press. If "Hebrew" was being used as a synonym for Jew, as it often was then, he could very well have been an English language "schtick" comic of the sort who made it into Theater World Magazine and the like. Either way, I hope to have something soon. I have no more than I did b4, but now I've got all that I need, 4 I love u and I know u love me
