Hey all, can anyone give me any information on a certain crewmember - Richard Owens (stoker/engineer?) that was aboard the Lusitania and died in the tragedy. The reason why i ask is because a man that works with my father - Tommy Owens said that his grand-father was called Richard Owens and was a crewmember aboard. Does anyone know where he was from? Was he Irish? Thanks! |

Richard Owens was employed on the Lusitania as an Engineer's Storekeeper. He was 32 years old and born in Kirkdale, which is now part of Liverpool. His parents were Ellen & Richard (deceased) Owens and he was married to Ellen (nee Lyons) Owens. They lived at 37 Leyden Street, Liverpool. Richard Owens was drowned in the sinking. |
