Hi again Laleh. Well, it is a bit of a mystery about Teddie and unfortunately those who could help figure it out have now passed on. He was raised as Susannah Sackrisson's son, but we have stories in the family about her saying that Sigrid was his 'mama' and also a story about Sigrid and Susannah going to Sweden and returning with a baby. Not sure how this could ever be finally resolved...so it may remain a mystery....but an intriguing little postscript that is somewhat related to the great Titanic saga...

and I would like to come to Sweden some day, as I still have relatives there near the villages of Hycklinge and Horn...maybe in a couple of years I will make it over there...

Hi Linda!

The story about Teddy was very interesting and also tragic.

I think it would be quite an experience for you to come see the places that some of your relatives came from. One girl have already done that 'cause she was related to the Danbom's (grammatic spelling??) as well.

What i would like to do is to go see the swedetowns in the US. That would be something!

Well, i'll see you later. Take care!

Hello, are there any photos in existence of the Danbom Family? Anna Sigrid Maria Danbom, Earnest Danbom or their 4 month old son Master Gilbert Danbom? Thank you.

To Linda Adams:

Hello! I hope that you still keep yourself informed about the Danbom family. Guess what! I found the letter Sigrid wrote to her family in Kisa about their journey to England. It was published in a swedish newsmagazine and is in swedish. Do you have any relatives that can translate it to you?

Here's the link anyway: http://www.kindaposten.se/article/articleview/258/?PrintableVersion=enabled

Thanks for the message Laleh! I really appreciate getting a copy of the article and I'm sure my aunt will be interested in it to. I will see if I can get it translated. I found another photo of Teddy when he was younger so will post it another time.

Linda

I'm glad that you're glad, heheh. Just one thing, could you once again tell me how you're related to this family?

I'm looking forward to seeing Teddys picture.

Take care
/Laleh
