Hi. Guess most of you people active on this forum have bought a piece of Titaniccoal. I would like to buy a piece myself as a gift to a friend. I found this page: http://www.titanicmemorabilia.co.uk Here you can buy a quite large piece for 19,95$. Do you think I can trust that this site sells authentic coal or does anyone know a better page on the net to buy authentic coal? Maybe even cheaper? best regards, mike best regards, mike

Mikael Do you use eBay? By typing in Titanic Coal in the Smart Search box, I found a number of offerings, most of them starting at $16 with the Buy Now option of $18. Shipping in the US was $5. Here's one example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=732002856 |

Thank you Mike. That's not too expensive. I just hope it's the real thing. It is very easy to fake and sell ordinay coal. |

Mikael: I think it's a safe bet, if you opt to buy from TITANIC MEMORABILIA. Does anyone know if this is Dennis Cochrane's outfit? Years ago he had a web-site named TITANIC MEMORABILIA SALES, which offered many unique items of steamship memorabilia. Michael A. Cundiff USA |

I got mine for $9.95 US plus $5 US paostage to Australia. Look for multiple listings from the same seller. You shoud only need to make the minimum bid to get one. |

Speaking of Dennis Cochrane, does anyone know how to get in touch with him? I used to have his contact info, but I believe he's changed phone numbers since the late 90's. If anyone could steer me to him, (or him to me, I'd appreciate it.) I have a serious proposal to put to him. Best regards! John. |

John: Last I heard anything from Cochrane was when he acted as historian for an RMSTI Expedition. His dive report, featured on the RMSTI web-site, for a short time, was outstanding! Especially his having seen QE-2 standing by when he surfaced from his 2 1/2 hr. ascent from TITANIC's wreck. What more in life could you ask for...;-) Michael A. Cundiff USA
