Hi everyone, On the Nomadic, there are still iron table legs considered as original ones. Assuming that Nomadic has been furnished with the same tables than Olympic class liners, could somenone give me some informations about the presumed supplier(s) ? Best regards, Phil |

Philippe, While I can't be positive on this, I suspect those tables were supplied by the builder, as this was the case with much of the furniture and fittings on board H&W's ships. H&W had extensive joinery and furniture shops in which to produce furniture and interior woodwork. They also had on site large foundry facilities which produced castings in iron, bronze and brass for everything from engine bed plates to coat hooks, so I wouldn't be surprised if the cast iron table bases also came from yard's own shops. You may want to try asking this question in the Technical/Design/Construction forum just to be complete. There are people over there that have made a point of studying the interior fittings and may know for certain. Best regards, Scott Andrews |
