Does anyone know where I can obtain further information on the 1940 TS Invicta? The Invicta was a luxury ferry operating the Golden Arrow service between Dover, UK and Calais, France. I came across some old British Railways deckplans (she was taken over by the Railways in the 1940s) and am seeking further information - thanks! |

Built by Dennys in 1939/40 this vessel was adapted for use as a commando assault carrier during WWII and went into cross-Channel service in 1946. See Railway & Other Steamers by Duckworth & Langmuir (2nd ed 1968). |
