I know the USS Constitution- launched in 1797, is the oldest commiusioned US Navy ship in service today- That makes me wonder- what are the next 4 oldest? Any ships that served in WW1 or WW2 that are still on active duty, even as training ships? regards tarn Stephanos ..The philosopy of Nome, meaning all....

>>Any ships that served in WW1 or WW2 that are still on active duty, even as training ships?<< Nope. To my knowladge, the oldest active vessel is the carrier USS Kitty Hawk followed by the Enterprise. Both were commissioned in 1961. Cordially, Michael H. Standart Equal Opportunity Curmudgeon
