BREMERTON, Wash. (NNS) -- USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) recognizes the harm that smoking cigarettes can cause and offers a treatment program to Sailors who are serious about quitting tobacco.

The four-week cessation program provides Sailors the support needed to kick the habit. Health Services Department holds classes every Thursday at 8 a.m., and covers various methods of quitting, offers personalized treatment, and helps establishing a quit date.

Stennis' Hygienist is One of a Kind

Carl Vinson Prepares for Final Crew Certifications

The disappearance of a T-34C Turbo Mentor plane Oct. 28 over the Gulf of Mexico and the Oct. 30 crash of a TH-57 Sea Ranger helicopter near Naval Air Station Whiting Field, Fla., did not have a major effect on training operations, a Navy spokesman said.

Capt. Dee L. Mewbourne and Cmdr. Joe W. Barnes both completed their historic landings within minutes of each other aboard Eisenhower while transiting the Atlantic Ocean during the ship's Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX).
