Just thought I would inform ye all of the a Stena Line Ferry that engines have broken down off the coast off Ireland today. There are 180 people on board. Its off the South-East Coast of Ireland. Just off Tuskar Rock actually!! Apparently she is just floating now and 3 lifeboats are on the way out!! Just after hearing the news so I'm still a bit sketchy on the details |

January 30, 2003 RTE (13:45) The passenger vessel, Stena Europe, is believed to have lost engine power and is drifting near Tuscar rock, off the Wexford coast. It is understood the 155 passengers on board may be taken off the ship. Three lifeboats, four Irish-based search and rescue helicopters, and two RAF helicopters, are on their way to the scene.

They're all safe and sound now, aren't they? I believe they re-started the engines and it was limping towards Fishguard. |
