The 50th anniversary of the Princess Victoria ferry disaster has just passed. She went down in the Irish sea during a storm in which she should never have set sail. 177 passengers and crew were lost and only 44 survivors (All male adults) were saved. There was a memorial service to remember the dead with a few of the remaining survivors present. |
