http://www.geocities.com/TheTropics/Harbor/2971/princessofac.html This ship is the one i rode on when i Went out East. ( i live in canada. ) i took it from P.E.I to New Brunswick I think with my other family members last summer. It is 480 ft. long, that's only 12 less than the Oceanos! It has a similar design too... beautiful ship... i HIGHLY recommend the link i just posted. thanx, AKITA |

Hi Andrew! Thanx for this. I have been on these ferries many times myself and note that the Princess of Acadia II was built at Saint John Shipbuilding. Just a footnote that that yard went out of business about a month ago. The pic selecton was good but I was surprised that it didn't mention the late, lamented Princess Helene on the Saint John-Digby run. She sereved on it for some 30 years. I wrote a magazine article on the Helene for the Atlantic Advocate about 20 years ago. Like the shipyard, this mag has gone out of busiess. G |
