DR. DODGE STILL IN SERIOUS CONDITION

San Francisco Bulletin

Page 4, column 3

Dr. Washington Dodge, who attempted suicide on Saturday night, is still in a critical condition at the St. Francis Hospital.
Dr. John Gallwey, who performed the operation, said that the bullet wound was comparatively insignificant, but that the fracture of the skull and hemorrhage had left Dr. Dodge in a grave condition.
Mrs. Dodge, who has been seriously ill since the news of her husband's attempt at suicide, was unable to see her friends yesterday. Gavin McNab, close friend of the injured man, said that he knew of no motive for Dr. Dodge's act.
