Disaster Victim. Died in the sinking of the "RMS Titanic" on April 14-15, 1912. He was J. Bruce Ismay's personal secretary as well as a Chief Deck Steward on board Titanic. Mr. Ismay had this tombstone erected in his honor, some say out of guilt for his decision not to put enough lifeboats on the ship to save everyone.
