William Edwy Ryerson was the son of George Arthur Ryerson (1851-1881) and Catherine Eleanor Hamilton (1854-1889). He was born in Port Dover, Ontario, Canada. His parents were married in 1875 and had three sons: George (b.1877), William Edwy (b. 1878) and Charles Arthur Egerton (b.1880). The family lived in Ontario, Canada.
William married to Florance Annie Mallison (1881-1968) on 17th December 1906 in Aston, Birmington, England. They were the parents of six children: Clarence (1907-1937), Katie Hamilton (1910-1984), Thomas Arthur (b. 1912), William Ernest (b. 1914), Ronald Jack (b. 1918) and Ralph Egerton (b. 1920).
William Edwy Ryerson died on 9th December 1949 in Runwell, England.
