Italian Heavyweight Silent on Engagement Rumor

Enzo Fiermonte, Italian middleweight boxer, arrived yesterday on the French liner Paris. Fiermonte declared on sailing for Europe three weeks ago that he was engaged to marry Mrs. Madeleine K. Dick, the former Mrs. John Jacob Astor. Yesterday he replied to all questions, "I know nothing about it.”
Mrs. Dick returned from Bermuda ten days ago and went to a hospital to recover from the effects of a broken arm suffered in a fall in her Bermuda home. She would not discuss her reported marriage.
Fiermonte said he would stay at the Hotel Pierre. He was admitted on a six months' vistors [sic] permit.
