Five-star St. John's inn boasts links to Titanic

If you're a fan of the blockbuster movie Titanic, the elegant staircase at the Ryan Mansion Inn might deliver a sense of deja vu.

The ship, which sank off the coast of Newfoundland in 1912, was luxuriously furnished to capture the growing transatlantic traffic of the era. Its grand staircase to the first-class quarters was a hallmark of the liner's opulence.
