I have caught the movie "Titanic" and can personally visualize the
fear and pain the passengers had been through. It is very frightening.
After watching the movie, I have to admit that I cried vigoriously.
Since then, I show fond interest in Titanic...and that is how I came
to your site. Your site has been very resourceful and precise despite
the lengthy time since the tragedy. I have to give it to you, for
your (more than) excellent work. And to the passengers, crew and everyone

happiness wherever you are. My heart will go out to all of you. Love,

dept....none of the poor sods survived...i was a marine engineer for
11 years and easily associate with the traumatic events that they
were involved in that night and the 'duty' that was within them to
maintain electrical power to 0218. in camerons film was there a bit
of artistic licence taken when murdoch shot himself?. walter lords
book. 'the night lives on'..mentions some evidence of this from letters
he had received but certainly wasnt confirmed. I thought jimbo cameron..a
stickler for getting it right..would have left this part a 'grey area'
to ones imagination. like your page ..keep up the good work...heres
a query...the emergency generators were in the dummy funnel..how were
they driven..ie what kind of prime mover? regards john

but I feel that if indeed there is a past life I was the 2 year old
passenger named Miss Helen Lorraine Allison who drowned with my parents,
but my brother Trevor survived until he was at the age of eighteen
years of age and passed away. I tell you the truth about this documentation
and I can prove by photos how the resemblence of Helen Lorraine Allison
and a photo of when I was a child look very mcuh alike with the eyes,
smile and features. Please know I have researched this for a long

Comments: After seeing the movie, i wanted to find out if the
things they depicted in the movie were true or just hollywood. Well,
i honestly wasn't prepared to learn about the lives of the passengers
and the events that occurred on the ship. I have been reading profiles
for over 2 hours and i am really sick at the heart. Someone like me
can only imagine the terror on that ship that infamous night. I think
this movie will knock a new generation like myself back to April 15,
1912. If anyone wants to email me with any more information about
the ship, that would be great. Thanks.

Comments:I am interested in verifying a "ghost" story from
Aiken, South Carolina about Titanic Bill. William Flagg who spent
his later years in Aiken was on the Titanic. He was newly married
and could not bear to be separated from his bride. After she was loaded
into one of the life boats, he returned to their room and dressed
in her clothes. He was allowed to board a lifeboat. When he was reunited
with his bride, she rejected him as a coward for not dying "like a
man" and had nothing else to do with him. He spent the remainder of
his years, unmarried, mourning her loss. Is this a true story? My
students and I would like to know.

layout. And the amount of work to put this together must of been astrnomical.
Other than continually updating as new information becomes avaliabile
the only thing I can see as lacking is the story of the aftermath.
What toher boats were involved in the aftermath, how many bodies were
recovered How many were buried at sea and how many came ashore for
burial, What action resulted (marine safety, any blame for the disaster,
etc.) However a very good site .... one of the best I have seen. LDE

and needed plans of the RMS Titanic, and here I found them. The site
is really good, even if I'm missing the plans of deck F and G. I also
saw the movie and were surprised because it is the first movie where
so much facts were used. And for the first time in my life I cried
in the cinema, at least the last twenty minutes because the voice
of Gloria Stuart ( Old Rose ) were so sad in this last passage of
the movie. So keep the good work and you all should say a prayer for
everyone who died on this ship because everyone, who had any responsibility
for their lifes, did too much wrong.

Comments:Since I was a young child, I've been fascinated by
the story of the RMS Titanic. I recently saw the movie "Titanic,"
and it brought my interest back to that fateful ship. I also have
a strong interest in genealogy, and while none of my ancestors were
aboard the Titanic, I still find the personal stories the most interesting.
What a wonderful website! Thank you for sharing!

Comments:After seeing the movie, I was looking for information
about the Titanic and found you. I have spent hours on your wonderfully
organized site reading about the *real* people of the Titanic whose
stories are all the more dramatic and compelling because they actually
happened. Your content is superb and your web design superior. Thank
you for providing us with this information!

Comments:This is a great website. Its very sad to read all
the names of the people who didnt make it. I wonder how many more
people would have survived if the lifeboats had been filled to capacity.

I too saw the movie by James Cameron. It's really a wonderful thing
to experience such an event through our imagination, and yes, helped
out by some very good historical research. Congrats on a good site.

Comments:Dear sir I am engrossed by your site. I just saw the
movie and have become haunted with this tragic tale. I wanted to find
out how much of what Mr Cameron told in the movie was true and what
was not and it seems so far that except for the love affair between
Jack & Rose most of the story seems pretty true to life. Thank you
for such a wonderful site and I look forward to spending a great deal
of time here. sincerely Rick Corbo
