Comments:I was searching for information on three passengers, my great-grandmother Marjorie Newell and her sister Madeleine and great-great-grandfather Arthur Webster Newell, and I found it here. It was amazing to read about stories my great-grandmother had told me, and I learned more about my family also. Thank you. It brought tears to my eyes.

Comments:I am collecting material for a research paper and find it very disappointing that I cannot print copies of those saved in the lifeboats. Could you please do something about the site so it is possible to print those names? It is very intersting information and I would love to use it, but I cannot unless I can make copies and the material is too much to write by hand from the web page. Thank-you very much. I am sorry that I have not included my e-mail address, but I do not have it with me and have never used it so I don't have it memorized.

I have been on the internet since the day I saw the movie and been to a lot of websites but this is the most interesting and informative I have seen thus far. Thank you.

Comments:Your site often moved me to tears. Your biographies and pictures make me feel as if I knew the people on the Titanic. I have been fortunate enough to stay at the Elkins Estate in Elkins Park, Pa. (Mrs. Widener's home before marriage) it is now a Dominican Retreat House. Across the road is the Widener Family Estate where she might have lived after her marriage. My husband also believes I am obsessed with the Titanic. Is your site going to be published into a book? I'd definitely buy it.

His name is Nassef Cassem Abilmona, a Lebanese immigrant. He lived in Roxboro, NC in 1915, and wrote an account of his experience in the Roxboro Courier 14 April 1938 newspaper. Just won- dered why?

Even though I couldn't pull up any further information on her, it was exciting to think that maybe she was a distant realative and that she survived the Titanic sinking. Comments:Great site! My grandmother was on the Titanic, and survived, her first husband was not so lucky. I had trouble finding her name because you have her listed as a 3rd class passenger. I believe they were in 2nd class. Thier name was Dyker, Mr Adolf Fredrik Dyker, Mrs Adolf Dyker(Anna Elizabeth Judith Andersson). She went on to marry my grandfather, and gave birth to my father. So I have the sinking of the Titantic to thank for my existence.

Comments:I find that this site has the most information about the R.M.S. Titanic that I have ever found. However I can't print the deck plans entirely. Also you need to offer a complete list of Passengers and crew put together so you can print them all at once. Check out www.ida.his.se/ida/~a94hango/titpass.shtml they offer a complete list however yours is more acurate. the list should go in this order, Crew, Passengers(1st 2nd 3rd class ect.). Finally all others on the ship if any known. You can reach me at (440)-967-4276 after 5 o'clock or write me at 110 Coen Road Vermilion, Ohio 44089-3100 Sincerly, Joshua J. Bowen

Comments:Hi! I just watched Titanic last night and I don't think I've ever seen a better movie! I felt like I was there on the ship, I was taken back and I wasn't even there to begin with. That's why, today, I wanted to check out the net and see what I could find on Titanic. Well, I found lots and I'm so fascinated by that ship and how it sank. Everything about it fascinates me! It's like, if I could meet a survivor from Titanic, I would be so happy. Just to listen to them would be amazing! Well anyways, just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading about Titanic on this page. Sincerely, Melissa

Comments:Your page is a wonderful source of information! I have been a "Titaniac" since I first learned of the Titanic (sometime in elementary school). I recently saw the movie and it has quickly become my all time favorite movie. Many people, I think, expected to see something of a "Hollywood" version. I think it is a masterpiece, the terror and helplessness all those people must have felt at that moment. The freezing Atlantic, and the shock and despair of the crew, knowing they could do nothing now, except get as many people out as they could and just wait to die. The love story between Kate Winslet (Rose) and Leonardo DiCaprio (Jack), is one that all of us dream for and many of us never achieve. The feelings were intense in this movie, and it was not only a love story, but also a movie about a tragedy.. the tragedy of the Titanic, it will always live in our hearts. Mine and my family's condolences to all those who lost loved ones on that cold April night in 1912.........

Comments:The Titanic was a gigantic ship. And the movie, where we saw the drama of this ship is as gigantic as the ship was. I saw a Titanic exhibition in London, and it was like on the board. You saw original dishes and so on and things from passengers, who have died in the cold Atlantic Ocean, like letters, purses and so on. If you are involved with the story of that ship, you can not got out of it.

Comments:Since seeing your site I have been reading about the Titanic nonstop, compelled to do so almost, and then after seeing the movie I keep imagining all these people, whose biographies I have been reading about, and what it must have been like that cold night in the North Atlantic. It was so useful to know the passenger's names when I saw the movie, as it brought them to life for me. And today I heard Eleanor Shuman, the only living survivor talking on my radio station and I cried as she told her story, as her mother had told it to her...for she was only 18 mos. old. Haunting, that's what this is!

Comments:My friends and I went to see Titanic for the first time the first week in January. Ithought it was such a great movie I would take my mother to see it. At that point my dad told me that his great-grandmother had been on the Titanic, coming home from a funeral in England with some of her other relatives. He said that the families were originally told by the White Star Line that everyone had survived and it wasn't until days later that they actually learned that many had died but that my great great-grandmother Caroline Brown had survived. My grand mother was named after her and my father said that the whole situation was so stressful for her as a child,( hearing everyone talk about it all the time), that when she was growing up she would not talk about it and did not want people discussing it in front of her. Thanks for letting me share my story. Ican't wait to read other family stories.

Comments:The TITANIC is more than a movie, it's a wonderful period of time that was captured so perfectly by the characters and music that it has brought out the romantic side of history. These people that died on Titanic should always be remembered in our hearts, and this movie does just that. I never really knew how much destruction happened, only that many people lost their lives, and many were left with a terrible memory. If you havn't seen this movie yet, you must. It's a love story and it makes you realize that we all have missions to accomplish in our lives. If you havn't realized that already,...you will.

Comments:Thanks for the enlightening research. You have brought a tragic experience for many into a learning experience for millions. When I saw the concentration camps in Germany, there were words in the guestbook that were to the tone of "Never forget the past, we will always learn and grow from it." The Titanic story has made the issues of social class, safety, and travel possible for many that followed the journey to the United States. Being Sicilian, I know my Great-Grandparents "Came over on the boat!" We have all been touched, and may the hearts and souls of the victims, and the families directly affected, "Go on" as Horner's beautiful song states in the movie that has changed our lives. Thanks, and I will forward your site to many of my friends so that they can also grow. Mike Mazza, Santa Barbara

Comments:I'd just like to thank the people that obviously took A LOT of time and effort into creating this amazing page. You took a sad piece of history and turned it into something "real!" for me. Instead of just assigning a "number" to the tragic loss of life...you put a face - a name - and a story behind the people that lost their lives...and those that had to somehow carry on. It was incredibly moving...I only wish that more people will be touched by such tragedies. Unfortunately - we're more accustomed to reading about it - or watching it on the tube - saying "my isn't that TERRIBLE!" but forgetting about it ten minutes later! That is the real tragedy. The lesson learned here was that nothing is "unsinkable", "indestructible", nor "infallible" My only hope is that people come away from this sight with a sense of empathy for others - every person that we pass each day has a story - someone/somewhere that will mourn their loss - and all people deserve respect. The past holds many lessons for us to learn - and the tragedy of the Titanic is one of them. Thanks so much for opening my eyes and my heart.

I guess I have to be critical, that White Star didn't take more measures than they did. I know there were more ship disasters later, but this one has touched me like no other. More than likely my family and I would had been 2nd class passengers, but I can't help but reach out to the 3rd class passengers, where there were higher mortality rates. May they rest in peace, and survivors have a day of comfort sometime, if still alive to this day. I found this web site very interesting , a job well done!

I don't think I could have gone through life after something so unimaginably horrible as living through the horror of seeing the ship go down, barely escaping and having to listen to all the horrifing screams of the passengers who were doomed to death. Wherever those many people are in the universe, I hope that everyone has deservingly been reunited with their loved ones, and may they forever recieve all of heavens richly rewards, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class, in gods eyes they are all 1st.

I am particularly interested in this topic because my great-great-aunt died on this ship, and I am in the process of trying to find out more about her. She had apparently just got married and was on the ship with her new husband. The only thing we know for certain is that her first name was 'Mary' and her maiden name was 'Power'. It is likely that, being Irish, she got on the ship at Queenstown. If anyone reads this who has had similar interest in learning more about a particular passenger, please contact me to let me know how you have gone about discovering more, and your success/failure. Thanks for a great page! Ruth

Comments:I should also like to point out that the Titanic did not sink due to a large gash caused by the iceberg it sank due to 6 tears no wider than a human hand, and the cause of the Titanic (still not completely proven) was faulty rivets which popped when the ship hit the berg. The steel plates opened causing water to enter inside.

Comments:It is unimaginable and unwordable, to think that something so- for lack of a better word- tragic could have happened. It is startling to see a page with the names of the passengers and crew, because it takes them away from being a hazy thing of the past, and into the 90's. The James Cameron epic helps that along in a very big way as well. I was wondering, is there anyone still alive off that boat? How would one find out if they are interesting in telling their story to an inquisitive girl? Please e-mail me!

Comments:Good website. My reason for visiting was to find the names of two passengers. They are portrayed in the recent movie Titanic...Rose and Jack Dawson. I have heard that the story (of young Rose and Jack) is a true account. So why can't I find their names on any passenger lists on any websites. Can you help me... Thanks :)
