NO NEWS YET OF TORONTO MAN
Prominent Winnipeg Mining Man and Formerly of Toronto--Was Returning from European Trip.
"News of Hugo Ross, broker of Winnipeg, and formerly of Toronto, is eagerly watched to-day by his many friends in the city. Mr. Ross was one of the first-class passengers on board the ill-fated Titanic, and so far nothing has been heard of him. He was just returning from a tour of Europe, and sent postcards from Rome, Berlin, etc., to Toronto friends."
"Mr. Ross was born in Toronto, was educated in Upper Canada College, and then moved westward."
"He has resided in Brandon, Vancouver and Winnipeg, as well as in Toronto where he was in the mining stock business with W. C. Fox under the name of Fox & Ross. He was a member of the Board of Trade and the R.C.Y.C., and was intimately acquainted with Major Arthur Peuchen."
