INFORMATION FOR CRUISE-MEMBERS
Membership in the Cruise includes accommodations in the Normandie from New York to New York. according to the Passage rates printed herein; all meals in the Normandie. and the services of the Cruise Director and his assistants. Shore excursions, wines (other thin table trine). mineral waters, fees. laundry charges, etc., are not included in the price.
Reservations may be made through any official agent of Raymond-Whitcomb or the French Line, or at any office of those companies.
Payments. At time of booking—23% of Cruise-price. November I, 1937 -23% of Cruise-price.
Final payment December 30, 1937 balance.
Raymond-Whitcomb Inc. reserve the right to cancel reservations on which payments are not made as provided above. and, in cases of cancellation by prospective Cruise-members, to make the refund of payments conditional on the re-sale of the accommodations reserved.
Taxes and Port Charges. The United States tax on steam ship tickets, and any taxes that may be levied by the United States or any State, Territory or political subdivisions thereof in connection with Cruise tickets, or embarkation, departure or disembarkation or otherwise in connection with the Cruise, are not included in the price of the Cruise. At present there is a United States stamp tax of $3.00 per person on steamship tickets costing $60 or more and there are sales taxes of varying amounts in some States, Territories and political subdivisions.
Taxes or port charges levied on passengers by foreign governments are not included. At present there is a tax of this nature at Nassau in the amount of 60 cents per person.
Dining Room Seats will be assigned by the Chief Steward immediately upon embarkation. Two dining rooms will be used on this Cruise, seats in the after Dining room being assigned to rooms numbered 703-732, 803-888, 901-982 and 1002-I078. The Terrace Café on the Boat Deck will be open for individual meals to all passengers with reservations to be made on board (luring the Cruise.
Departure. The Cruise will sail from the French Line pier (Pier 88) in the North River. New York, at the foot of West 18th Street, on Saturday, February 3, 1938 at 1.00 P.M. All baggage, properly labeled, should be delivered at the pier before 10 A.M., February 3. No baggage can be received, however, before February 1.
Shore Excursions. The Shore Excursions which are outlined elsewhere in this booklet are not included in the passage rates but will he sold at the prices shown.
Deck Chairs, Steamer Rugs and Chair Cushions may be rented on board the Normandie. Prices: $3.00 per deck chair, $I.30 per steamer rug, and $I.30 for cushions, New York to New York.
Laundry. Cruise-members can have laundering and pressing done on board the Normandie.
Passports are not required by persons who take this Cruise in its entirely.
