Chicago Girl Will Be Married to Edward Cudahy Spalding

CHICAGO, Feb. 21---Announce has been made by Mrs. J. Hippach Unander Scharin of this city of the eengagement [sic] of her daughter, Jean, to Edward Cudahy Spalding, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughan C. Spalding of Lake Forest.

The prospective bride was graduated from the Ethel Walker School, Simsbury, Conn., in 1943. She is a granddaughter of Mrs. Fanny Unander Scharin of Stockholm and the late Consul Egil Unander Scharin, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Albert Hippach of this city.

Mr. Spalding attended the Hill School and Yale University, and served in the Army Air Forces.
