Joseph Bell

Mid Cumberland and Westmoreland Herald

The Chief Engineer was Joseph Bell, son of the late Mr. John Bell, who at one time farmed at Farlam, but subsequently lived for many years in retirement at Bishoptown, Carlisle, before going to Bristol, where he died a few years ago. The latter was also a member of the Westmoreland and Cumberland Yeomanry Cavalry for over forty years being latterly Quartermaster.
