London, Sept. 12---George Meredith is to write the introduction to the revised edition of Lady Duff-Gordon's "Letters from Egypt."  It will be recalled that one series appeared in 1865 and attracted considerable attention; another bore the date of 1875.  Both will now be issued in one volume, and, owing to the death of several of the persons written about, it will now be possible to give the letters in full.  The new edition will also include a memoir by the author's daughter.

{Several paragraphs, both before and after the one transcribed her, which are irrelevant for present purposes, have been omitted from this transcription.}
