By using Encyclopedia Titanica you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately on your first use of Encyclopedia Titanica. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all the following terms please do not access and/or use Encyclopedia Titanica.

Encyclopedia Titanica may change these terms at any time by posting changes online. Please review these terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made. Your continued use of Encyclopedia Titanica after changes are posted means you agree to be legally bound by these terms as updated and/or amended.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, transmit or otherwise use Encyclopedia Titanica content in any way except for your own personal, non-commercial use. You also agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any Encyclopedia Titanica content except for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use of Encyclopedia Titanica content requires the editor's prior written permission.

Contributor's Agreement

Material submitted to the Encyclopedia Titanica is accepted on the understanding that it is the right of the contributor to make the submission and that there are no legal restrictions preventing it's submission or publication online or in any other media Encyclopedia Titanica may utilize.

By submitting your contribution (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) you agree to grant Encyclopedia Titanica a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive right and licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, play, and exercise all rights with respect to your contribution and to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed as required and at our discretion without further rights negotiation. If you do not want to grant to Encyclopedia Titanica the rights set out above, please do not submit your contribution to Encyclopedia Titanica.

By submitting your contribution to Encyclopedia Titanica, you warrant:

a. that no copyright exists on the contribution or
b. that copyright on the contribution has expired or
c. that explicit approval has been obtained from the copyright owner for submission or
d. that you own copyright on the material being submitted

and 
2
a that it is not defamatory and 
b does not infringe any law and
c does not infringe trademarks, licences or copyright owned or controlled by a third party and
d that you indemnify Encyclopedia Titanica against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by the Encyclopedia Titanica as a result of your breach of the above warranty and
e waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication by Encyclopedia Titanica and the purposes specified above.

Material that has been accepted for publication by Encyclopedia Titanica may not subsequently be withdrawn without good reason and the agreement of the editor.

These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
