Memorial plaque to Suzette Ryerson and her maternal grandmother

This memorial plaque appears on a stone monument at the entrance to Hacklebarney State Park, Long Valley, New Jersey. The monument was erected on the occasion of a 32 acre land donation made by Adolphe Edward Borie to the state of New Jersey and memorializes his mother Susan Parker Borie and his niece, Suzette Ryerson Patterson. This donation led to the establishement of the park on land that had previously been used for iron ore mining. More info. on park history at http://nynjctbotany.org/njhigh/hackleb.html
