Titanic Survivor Is Engaged to George Hyde Clark

COOPERSTOWN, N. Y., Sept. 4---Mrs. Arthur Ryerson of Chicago and Philadelphia announced today the engagement of her daughter, Miss Emily Borie Ryerson, to George Hyde Clarke, a son of the late George Hyde Clarke and a brother of Mrs. Arthur Osgood Choate of New York. Miss Ryerson, together with her mother, her sister, Miss Susan . [sic] Ryerson, and her brother, John A. Ryerson, are all survivors of the Titanic disaster, in which Mr. Ryerson perished.

Mr. Clarke was graduated from Harvard. After takin gthe [sic] corse [sic] in farming at Cornell University, he will take the occupation of a gentleman farmer, settling at Hyde Hall, which he inherited from his father.

No date has been mentioned for the marriage, but it is expected to take place this Autumn.
