Mr. Julian's Companion

Torquay Directory

Mr. Forbes Julian was accompanied on the Titanic by a mining engineer, named Weir. Here is a pen picture from New York: “With a tall woman in blue velvet, Mr. Cornell, a popular magistrate, elbowed his way into the offices to get some word of his wife and two sisters, Mrs. E. D. Appleton and Mrs. Murray Brown, of Boston. No sooner had he gained the counter than the tall woman fainted. She was revived, and said that she was Mrs. Weir, and that her husband was on the Titanic. When told that there was no news of him she fainted again, and was carried to her motor-car by policemen.
