Mr. Walter Ennis

Another local passenger was Mr Walter Ennis, who was engaged on the Titanic as Turkish bathman and masseur. He was previously employed by Smedley Hydro, Birkdale in a similar position, having been there about six years. This was his first voyage, and before going he resided with his wife and family at 141 Bedford-road Birkdale. When at the Hydro he was very popular amongst the staff , who have been very anxious to hear the fate of their former comrade. His oldest child is thirteen years of age, and the youngest five years.
He undertook the appontment on the Titanic on the recommendation of visitors to Smedley Hydro, with whom he was very popular. His wife was not anxious for him to take the position, but he preferred to on what he considered a better appointment. He was a very powerful swimmer, and well known in the North of England.
Much sympathy is expressed with his wife and family, who reside at the Birkdale address stated.
