Mrs Bertha Christensen dies - Titanic survivor

Mrs. Bertha Christensen. 82 of 88 White Springs Rd., one of the few remaining survivors of the Titanic, which went down April 14 1912 in the Atlantic Ocean, died this morning at Geneva General Hospital. The Bennett Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements which are incomplete. Her daughter and son were believed en route today from the Buffalo area. Mrs. Christensen was the widow of Chris Christensen. She was born on the Isle of Jersey off the English coast and was coming to the United States to join her father and sisters already in the United States. She was only 17 at the time of the sinking of the Titanic.
