Services for Mrs. Bertha Christensen, 83, of 4205 Fullerton Av., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at 4338 W. Fullerton Av. She died Monday in Northwest Hospital. Mrs. Christensen was one of the last living survivors of the sinking of the Titanic in 1912. She was emigrating to the United States from her native Sweden at the time of the tragedy. A cousin, who died in the sinking, placed her in a lifeboat before the ship went down. Surviving are 2 sons, Arthur and Leonard; 3 daughters, Mrs. Marion McCrum, Mrs. Ruth Gabriel, and Mrs. Dorothy Cherry, 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
 

[She was buried at Mount Olive (same place as Karl Midstjo]
