BARNSTABLE, Mass., Sept. 19---Mrs. Louise Unander-Scharin Jones, daughter of Mrs. J. Hippach Unander-Scharin of Wianno, formerly of Chicago and Lake Forest, Ill., and the late Hjalmar Unander-Scharin of Stockholm, Sweden, was married here this afternoon to John Maclay Mirkil, son of William I. Mirkil of Newton Square, Pa., and the late Mrs. Frances Betz Woolsey of Bryn Mawr, Pa.
The Rev. Kenneth Warren performed the ceremony in the Congregational Church. A reception was given at the home of the bride's mother in Wianno.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Howard Unander-Scharin of Louisville, Ky. Mrs. Edward Cudahy Spalding of Downingtown, Pa., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. The other attendants were Mrs. William I. Mirkil Jr., sister-in-law of the bridegroom, Mrs. Elliott Ogden, Mrs. George Carey Mathiessen, Mrs. Lewis S. Dabney, Miss Elizabeth P. Townsend and Miss Marianna H. Meade.
Mr. Mirkil, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
Mrs. Mirkil was graduated from the Garrison (Md.) Forest School and attended Bennett Junior College. She was previously married and divorced.
Her husband, who recently returned from Korea, where he served as a lieutenant in the Marine Corps, was graduated from the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Conn., and the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Philadelphia Racquet Club and the Merion Golf and Cricket Clubs.
