Mrs Marvin

Le Journal

When the Carpathia docked, Mrs. Marvin, who was on her honeymoon trip, fainted when she learnt that there was no hope for her husband to be alive. When she was placed into a lifeboat, her husband simply told her: "Everything is going to be fine, young girl. Be quiet. I stay."
- He kissed me goodbye, stated the poor young lady, and I never saw him again.
