Neshan Krekorian : Clarifications
Mr. Krekorian had 3 children, not 4. Minor spelling error: city is St. Catharines, not St. Catherines.
He was single when he left for North America - his first wife was killed by the Turks.
My recollection of how he got into boat 10, as described first to his son, George, was that he jumped into the water near boat 10 as he saw 2 spots open - he claimed that 2 men were fighting (not clear over what) in the boat and they ended up in the water. He swam to the boat and got in. He caught pneumonia because he was soaked and had to withstand the cold until rescued the next day.
