Across the Caribbean on the Nieuw Amsterdam

16mm film records a tour encompassing: Peurto Rice, Curacoa, Havana, Cartagena, Colombia, Panama Canal, Kingston Jamaica ending with the ship docking in New York City.

This short 16mm film, shot sometime before 1958, complements the feature article Nieuw Amsterdam: Touring the Ship of Tomorrow, by Jim Kalafus.

The film records a journey across the Caribbean, taking in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Jamaica and the Panama Canal. There are views of other liners including the Mauretania 2 and some somewhat smaller craft.
