Music Played on the Titanic
The Hymn "Now the Day is Over" was one of those sung at the hymn service lead by Revd. Ernest Courtenay Carter.
Sabine Baring-Gould (1825-1878) wrote the lyrics, in 1865, and the tune “Merrial” was composed by Sir Joseph Barnby (1838-1896) in 1868.
