New York Times

FRED JOEL SWIFT, a well-known resident of the East New York section of Brooklyn, died in Nyack, N. Y., on Monday night.  He was forty-five years old and a native of Herkimer County, N. Y.  For a number of years Mr. Swift had been in the real estate business at Fifth Avenue and Forty-Second Street, Manhattan.  He was an elder and Trustee of the Arlington Avenue Presbyterian Church, and his home was at 171 Arlington Avenue.  His wife survives him.
