PHILLIPS THE JACK BINNS

NEW YORK. April 15. -
The wireless operator on the Titanic, who sent out the SOS message when she struck the iceberg is J. G. Phillips, formerly employed as a wireless operator on James Gordon Bennetts yacht. Later he worked on the steamship Oceanic from which he was transferred to the new Titanic.
