COL. ASTORS BODY IS TAKEN THROUGH CITY

The Evening Post

Thursday 2 May 1912

The body of John Jacob Astor, one of the victims of the Titanic disaster, passed through Worcester this morning from Portland, Me., on its way to Rhinecliff, N.Y. The body arrived in Union station on the “Oceanic,” a Pullman car, attached to a special train of two other cars.

It was accompanied by Col. Astor’s son, Vincent, and the Biddie party.

The “Oceanic” left Worcester at 9.41 o’clock attached to train 7 for Albany and will then go down the Hudson river to Rhinecliff.
